10 Things My Kids Will Never Know
The cycle of outdating seems like it downed a fistful of steroids with a gallon of coffee, everything is changing and progressing so fast now. However fast or slow times change, a universal truth for any generation is: there will always be things “my kids will never know.”
There was a point after fire was discovered where some cave-dad looked at his little slobbering cave-ling, and said, “Ook blarg ak patook,” which may have translated to “He not ever know volcano of pain of uncooked bear meat sickness.” And, maybe someday, a cyborg dad will bleep, “01110011 01110000 01101111 01101001 01101100 01100101 01100100 00100000 01100110 01101111 01101111 01101100” or something about his kids telepathically messaging each other, hands free, at the breakfast pod.
Today is today, though, and every today comes with its yesterdays. Let’s look at 10 things my kids will never know. Not the way I did, the way a lot of us did.
Sure, there are some things it’s sad they won’t know, but with so many innovations and change, I know they’ll undoubtedly have their own “my kids will never know” moments when they grow up and have children of their own. At least it’ll be easier to care for, feed, clean up after them. Hopefully.
