Life Can Change In 10 Seconds Or Less
Mere seconds can change the course of your life and if you don’t respect that concept, you won’t learn the power of a single moment.
This car accident took place two cars in front of us on our way back from Yosemite. Mere seconds later and it could’ve been us. I’m beginning to realize, finally, that I have to prepare my kids for so many moments when action and opportunity collide. Of course, they can’t be prepared for everything, but maybe I can help show them that they can make decisions, in a split-second, that change the course of their lives.
Almost a week later, I still can’t get this picture out of my head. Timing is a funny thing. But it’s all in a moment.
The moment I stood up for myself. The moment I gave up. The moment I met my boys’ mother. The moment my father died in front of me. The moment my boys were born. Everything changes.
