Perhaps there are couples that complete each other’s sentences. Perhaps some pull jinxes all the time; saying the same things or answer the same way, together. Perhaps they put on the same song simultaneously or some such seemingly magical, psychic connection.

There certainly are couples who know each other’s idiosyncrasies, preferences and personalities so well they can sort of predict exactly what the other would do or say.

My wife knows I’m a joke machine who loves words, or at least playing with my words, so we laughed at how she instantaneously guessed what I was up to.

There’s a seems to be a deep fondness in knowing someone so well, and being known so well in turn.

Is there a kind of magic in simply knowing a person so deeply? Perhaps.
