Bushes Here and There and Everywhere (By Dr. Heuss)
Now I have bushes where nobody knows.
One bush, two bushes, three bushes… more!?!
What are these bushes that weren’t before?
I have seen bushes here and there and everywhere;
Around people’s houses and at the town fair.
There are bushes on land and under the sea,
But it seems strange indeed to have bushes on ME!
Are they for hiding chewed gum or polishing forks?
For cheering on games of Schnozzles and Corks?
Maybe to warm us on Wintle Season’s snowiest day?
What these new bushes do, I really can’t say.
It seems to me, whether you nope or you yup,
Growing weird bushes is simply growing all up.
Being weird isn’t strange and being strange isn’t weird,
When we all get bushes that grow like a beard.
