The Internet is like a giant pool. Unfortunately, embarrassing pictures can be the online version of a really grody “warm spot.” Worse yet, you really can’t take pee out of a pool.

Some pictures of you can be as thumb-suckingly bad as yearbook photos, except nowadays they can happen every week or day or minute, and can also be conveniently viewed at any time by family, friends and total strangers. What’s the opposite of “yay”? Well, multiply that by thousands or millions if your crappy picture goes viral.

If you’re really careful and don’t post “compromising or unflattering photographic evidence” of yourself, OTHER PEOPLE can be counted upon to do so these days. [ So-and-so has tagged you! ] And you’re not It, but you always seem to look like something that rhymes with “it.” Wah wah.
