Elizabethan Superheroes & Star Wars Icons

Posted under EXTERNAL USE ONLY, SNAPSHOTS

We’ve all asked ourselves interesting questions. What if we’d lost WWII? What would the world be like if people lived for hundreds of years? How would chairs be designed if our bodies had four legs?

Photographer, Sacha Goldberger, thought up some of his own intriguing questions…

What if Superman was born in the 16th century?

And what if the Hulk was a Duke?

How might Van Eyck have portrayed Darth Vader?*
* my personal favorite (saved as the best for last).

With the help of more than 110 people participating in this breathtaking project: Super Flemish, Sacha answered these questions with photographic art, styled after the Flemish paintings popular during the Renaissance. Presented here are 15 images from the series for us all to behold.

C’MON! Lord Vader even sits in dignified repose with a tiny AT-AT walker curled up in the satin breeches and silk hose of his dark lap!

Magnificent! Brilliant! Huzzah!

My deepest thanks to Sacha Goldberger for permission to share his amazing creations here on HowToBeADad.com.
