We were strolling along the shops and restaurants of the main street in Old Towne. Suddenly, my wife gasps and my heart does a belly flop, thinking the lad fell or there was a vicious wasp strafing us. Nope. Just a cute little pocket-sized dog with an adorable Brazilian blowout.

She asked the owner what kind it was and he told us it was a Pom. Our 5-year-old looked from the tiny Chehuahua-bacca to his delighted mom, and back again to the pooch, a little jealous of all the affection she was showering on it. I scrubbed his head, understanding, and laughed under my breath.
