As a father, you have certain responsibilities under your purview. Your job: keep your family alive, provide what they need, and keep the ribs from burning. Both literally and figuratively. This week’s hero dad is a gentleman from Fresno. His domicile caught fire. He managed to rescue to his family to safety. Not to be deterred, he also saved the life of the ribs he was cooking. Good man.

This guy is a modern day super hero. They should redo the tagline for Heroes as “Save the Ribs, Save the World.” If they rebooted Popeye, they should draw the character as Robert Wright and he would only eat barbecue ribs. Because delicious.
