We all know what our top words and phrases are, the ones that would make us filthy stinking rich “if I had a dollar for every time I’ve said… ”
You’ll find your vacubalury and speech change direction dramatically once you become the proud owner of your very own, brand new little human. After you’ve got a few thousand miles on your parental odometer, your eyes may bulge a bit when you realize how many friggin times you’ve used some of them.
“Poop” is the example graphicalized here, but it’s not just baby and kid related words, like “swaddle,” “wipes” or “snack.” It’s also the cute-ified words like “potty” and “uppies”; phrases like “you’re okay” and “five minute warning” and “don’t touch that”; and all the strangled replacements for swearwords.
And then, of course, there are also the things you never thought you (or any human being) would ever have to say in a million billion trillion years.
